For a cleaner home: choose the most suitable vacuum cleaner!

Dust is present everywhere, being nicknamed the “invisible enemy” of the home. Most of the dust, sometimes up to 80% of the amount, consists of dust mites. Mites are microorganisms that can be found in beds, rugs, carpets, soft toys, books, appliances, wallpaper or any other decoration in our home. Exposure to mites can cause the development of allergies, triggering asthma or skin irritation and eczema, especially in the case of sensitive people and children. How can we fight mites? Very simple… In addition to airing the rooms at least 2 times a day for 15 minutes or cleaning the dust daily, the use of a vacuum cleaner is more than recommended. Even if vacuuming the house is not one of the most fun activities, it can become much easier, depending on the vacuum cleaner we choose to use.

The vacuum cleaner is one of the most popular household appliances, but the technologies available have evolved considerably in recent years, so much so that, at the time of purchase, choosing the most suitable vacuum cleaner for the home is increasingly difficult. When you want to buy the best vacuum cleaner, you have to look for a model that suits your needs, so you have to pay attention to: type of vacuum cleaner, power, efficiency classes and other characteristics, such as noise level, collection capacity, accessories, etc. Although there are many models of vacuum cleaners, the most popular categories are bagged and bagless vacuum cleaners. Both categories have pros and cons, so let’s find out how each one works and the main features.

Vacuum cleaner with bag VS Vacuum cleaner without bag

Vacuum cleaner with bags they are considered the classic vacuum cleaner model. They work thanks to a suction mechanism with a dirt collection bag, both in fabric – reusable and in paper – disposable. Furthermore, new versions of vacuum cleaners are equipped with additional filters that spread cleaner air into the environment or even incorporate dust retention technologies.

The biggest advantage of bagged vacuum cleaners is the fact that, compared to bagless vacuum cleaners, they generally have a greater cleaning power. Moreover, the price of consumables is lowereven if we are referring to disposable paper bags or reusable collection bags made of textile material (the latter also last up to 2 years). Another advantage is the fact that these they need to be emptied less oftensome bags are very well designed, being able to support several kg of impurities until further elimination. Furthermore, users are exposed to less impurities during cleaningsince they do not have to manually remove impurities that stick to the filter, the container or the internal mechanisms (as in the case of bagless vacuum cleaners).

One disadvantage of vacuum cleaners with bags is the fact that, when changing or emptying the bags, you often get dirty, and the inhaled dust can lead to health complications and can affect allergic people. Some models are equipped with bags with a more advanced filter system, but their price is usually quite high.

Bagless vacuum cleaner they appeared on the market later, but soon enjoyed growing popularity. The dust extraction system is based on a plastic collection container, which takes the place of the canvas or paper bag, where the vacuumed debris will be collected. After filling it, the container is emptied and washed under running water. Bagless vacuum cleaners manage to combine flexibility with efficiency in use very well, making them extremely suitable for those who vacuum the house every day.

One of the main advantages of bagless vacuum cleaners is the fact that bags are no longer neededso we can save the money it would have cost to change them; the additional HEPA filtration system ensures a fresh and cleaner exhaust air; Goiling the container is much easier and therefore less dust is inhaled.

The disadvantages of bagless vacuum cleaners are: the price of the filters, which is higher, but they are changed rarely, every few months; the suction power is lower than bag vacuum cleaners; if we break or damage the collector container, we will have to replace it entirely.

Bagless vacuum cleaners, in addition to those equipped with a plastic container, also include other types of vacuum cleaners, such as those with water filter and those with washing.

Vacuum cleaner with water filter they are based on a relatively new technology, which stores the vacuumed dust more efficiently and improves the air quality in the room. As the name suggests, the main feature is the water filter through which the sucked air passes, dirt (lint, dust, mold spores, hair, etc.) remains and cleaner, more humid and therefore healthier air comes out. Furthermore, vacuum cleaners with a water filter have a much higher suction power than classic ones. This type of vacuum cleaner is particularly suitable for environments frequented and used by children, who are often the most exposed to respiratory diseases caused by dust (asthma, allergies, etc.). Although they are considered much more efficient than classic vacuum cleaners, they are quite bulky and the water must be changed very often if you want to keep it sanitized.

For a cleaner home: choose the most suitable vacuum cleaner!

Vacuum cleaner with washing,

unlike those with water filter, they have an additional function, namely the sanitization of floors or carpets by washing with water and detergent. This represents a considerable advantage, because after having vacuumed the rooms we will no longer have to use the brush, but practically we will have the possibility of carrying out two activities at the same time: vacuuming and washing. A vacuum cleaner with washing is able, in most cases, to deeply clean different types of surfaces and carpets, so it can save us trips to the carpet cleaner, having the ability to remove even the most difficult stains. Furthermore, people who suffer from various allergies will no longer have any type of problem, being able to use the vacuum cleaner alone. Although they are very efficient and suitable for general home cleaning, one of the disadvantages would be the fact that they are a bit heavy and difficult to handle.

Vertical vacuum cleaners – The perfect solution for small spaces

Vertical vacuum cleaners they are equipped with batteries and are reliable for small spaces thanks to their extraordinary mobility. Furthermore, you will get rid of the long cords of normal vacuum cleaners, which you have to drag around the house, and the dirt will be collected in plastic containers. Their design helps you if you have back problems, as you don’t have to bend over when vacuuming. Upright vacuum cleaners can be corded or cordless, each with advantages and disadvantages.

The choice of a vacuum cleaner of this type depends largely on the expectations you have of it, but also on the size of your home. For example, one vertical aspirator will make fir tree It has an autonomy of approximately 40 minutes (premium category). Battery life is not the only disadvantage that can be found with such a vacuum cleaner, but also the time needed to recharge, which in some cases can even reach 24 hours, but there are also models that recharge in a few hours, almost the same time needed to charge a phone.

Watching Corded vertical vacuum cleanersthey are powered by electricity and as an advantage we have a slightly higher power that can be maintained constantly. Naturally, as in the case, a disadvantage is represented by the length of the cable which, in some situations, will not allow you to vacuum every corner of the house without using an extension.

Manual vacuum cleaners – Practical and easy to handle

It represents another category of vacuum cleaner manual vacuum cleaners. The most important advantage of such a vacuum cleaner is its mobility. You can clean various surfaces, such as sofas, windowsills, table tops and even car upholstery, without the need for a classic vacuum cleaner. When we want to choose a good portable vacuum cleaner we must pay attention to some details. The most important thing is represented by the power provided by the vacuum cleaner. Although it is not a very accurate indicator of performance, we must take it into account. So, a vacuum cleaner of minimum 7W in most cases it is quite good in terms of suction power. Don’t forget the useful accessories for the various surfaces. The collection capacity of the tank mainly depends on the size of the vacuum cleaner. Dust and dirt will be sucked into it. A larger tank can increase the size of the vacuum cleaner and its weight, but it can be emptied less often. These vacuum cleaners can have a capacity of up to 1 L, but you will hardly need a capacity larger than 0.5 L.

The main disadvantage of this type of vacuum cleaner is, obviously, its autonomy. Good and fairly affordable models have an autonomy of at least 10 minutes and charge in up to 10 hours. The high-performance ones can reach an autonomy of 30 minutes and recharge in a few hours.

Robot vacuum cleaner: save time and energy

Robot vacuum cleaner represents the new generation of vacuum cleaners, which has become extremely popular in recent years. The main difference between the robotic versions is their ability to minimize the amount of work the user has to do, which is clear from their name. A robotic vacuum cleaner is a type of autonomous vacuum cleaner designed to clean carpets, floors and floors of dust, dirt and debris.

Modern robot vacuum cleaners can handle multiple workloads. In addition to effectively cleaning various surfaces, they can memorize the particularities of the space, eliminate the dirt they collect and even charge the batteries themselves. One of the most important advantages of a robot vacuum cleaner is its ease of use. Simply program the vacuum cleaner for a particular space and set the timer and the vacuum cleaner will start cleaning the surface for you, without the need for supervision. In this way we will be able to program the vacuum cleaner even before leaving the house and it will do its job on its own.
